The characters in The Great Dempseys series are complex, flawed, and dynamic. The first book in the series, aptly named The Great Dempseys, introduces you to some of these important characters, but rest assured, as the series goes on, you will get to know more characters!
I love referring to my characters as “players,” as I often feel like they have an agency of their own. I know that may sound weird to anyone who doesn’t write, but often, our characters make it clear to us what we want, and we (the authors) are forced to comply. (Maybe a little dramatic, but you get my point!)
