As the joint rulers of Imperium, seven Keepers hold the position of Lord Regent; nevertheless, their political and spiritual views differ. After some peculiar events, Raelynn Mabry, a recent graduate of Keeper, begins working for Levin Liston, the Lord Regent of Diplomacy. She becomes embroiled in some of the Lord Regents' political conflicts very early. As Election Day draws closer to Imperium, everything revolves around negotiating alliances, military actions, and ambition.This book is really fascinating, engaging, and quick because of the way the author delves into the personal lives and affairs of the major people while also following the pivotal political cycle from their points of view.
